The special feature of the exquisite lambswool blanket from Johnstons of Elgin lies in its sophisticated double-faced design, which reveals two differently coloured sides, creating a multi-faceted aesthetic. This particular technique allows the blanket to be designed with two distinct, yet perfectly harmonising sides. One side features a rich, deep red that exudes warmth and elegance, while the other side displays a stylish and timeless check pattern.
The doublefaced weave not only gives the blanket a unique appearance but also provides extra softness and warmth. Made of 100 % high-quality lambswool, this blanket offers unrivalled comfort and a luxurious feel. Lambswool is known for its exceptional fineness and softness, making it the perfect choice for exclusive textiles.
Johnstons of Elgin uses only the finest raw materials and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create products of the highest quality. Each blanket is carefully inspected to ensure it meets the highest standards.
This lambswool blanket is not only a functional accessory that provides warmth on cool evenings, but also a stylish statement that enhances and adds elegance to any interior.

    Johnstons of Elgin

Founded in 1797 by Alexander Johnston, the company began its journey in Elgin, a Scottish town on the banks of the River Lossie, with the construction of a mill. Since its inception, the company has earned an excellent reputation for producing high-quality textiles. The Johnston and Harrison families have led the firm across generations. Johnstons of Elgin began producing woollen fabrics as early as 1810, and in 1851, it started weaving vicuña, cashmere, and lambswool in Scotland. The company's commitment to high quality standards and support for local craftsmanship has closely linked it with the British Royal Family. Under the reign of King Charles III, Johnstons of Elgin was appointed as the official purveyor of tweed fabrics to the royal court. The company's mills in Elgin and Hawick remain among the last vertically integrated mills in Scotland, where all processes involved in garment production are conducted internally. Johnstons of Elgin uses only the finest cashmere and Merino wool for its exclusive wool products. In April 2021, the company was awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise for its efforts in sustainability.
