The Le Chameau »Oceane« women’s wading boots are specifically designed for the toughest water conditions, combining outstanding durability with maximum comfort. Each boot is traditionally handcrafted by experienced bootmakers and meets the highest quality standards.

Made of saltwater-resistant Chamolux rubber, these wading boots offer exceptional longevity and resilience. The natural rubber is reinforced with Aramid fibres, known for their excellent durability and lightweight properties, providing superior resistance to abrasion and stress. This unique rubber not only gives the rubber boots softness and elasticity, but also a robust quality that stands up to daily wear.

Its seamless design and flexible, saltwater-resistant upper material ensure that there are no weak spots due to possible leaks at bonded points. Additionally, a reinforced knee section provides extra protection in demanding conditions.

The breathable Ponte Jersey lining regulates foot temperature and keeps feet comfortably warm even at temperatures as low as 5 °C. It also dries exceptionally fast, ensuring that the boots are ready for use the next day after water exposure.

Designed for professional use and extended outdoor wear, even on colder days, these wading boots are generously cut to allow for comfortable layering. The thigh and calf circumference are intentionally wider, while the spacious foot area provides ample room for thick socks. For everyday use, it is recommended to choose one size smaller than your usual shoe size, while still allowing enough room for thick socks to ensure comfort and flexibility.

The double-layered MICHELIN sole provides all-day comfort and is SRA-certified, ensuring a secure grip on slippery, wet, or uneven terrain.

Le Chameau

Bereits seit 1927 fertigt die Firma Le Chameau Gummistiefel aus hochwertigen, natürlichen Materialien in echter Handarbeit. Die Idee dazu hatte der Firmengründer Claude Chamot, als dieser an einem regnerischen Tag in Cherbourg (Frankreich) es leid war, die Klagen seiner Kunden über ihre unbequemen und nicht schützenden Stiefel zu hören. Er machte sich daran, einen bequemen und gutsitzenden Gummistiefel zu entwickeln, der der täglichen Beanspruchung bei der Jagd, beim Fischen und bei der Landarbeit standhält. Er begann mit der Herstellung von Prototypen aus Naturkautschuk und bat seine Kunden, diese bei ihrer täglichen Arbeit und auf der Jagd zu testen. Die Ergebnisse waren phänomenal... jeder einzelne konnte nicht glauben, wie unglaublich haltbar, bequem und wasserdicht die Stiefel waren; sie liebten sie, und dies war der Beginn der unglaublichen Geschichte von Le Chameau. Die Stiefel werden bis heute noch von Hand durch die Maîtres Bottiers, die Schuhmachermeister von Le Chameau, gefertigt. Die hochwertigen Stiefel werden zu 100 % aus Naturkautschuk hergestellt und unterliegen strengen Qualitätskontrollen hinsichtlich der Fertigung und der verarbeiteten Materialien. Eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Herstellung spielt bis heute die hohe, handwerkliche Fertigkeit der Maîtres Bottiers, welche zunächst eine mehr als neun Monate lange intensive Ausbildung absolvieren müssen. Heute ist Le Chameau weltberühmt für seine Pionierarbeit bei der Vulkanisierung von Gummi zur Herstellung von Schutzstiefeln, die weltweit als unübertroffen gelten.
