Made of lightweight 360 g/rm chequered loden fabric by Austrian Leichtfried weaving mill, this jacket combines tradition and sustainability. Leichtfried has been known for its environmentally friendly produced loden fabrics and finest wool cloths for over 130 years. The use of extra-fine merino wool and a fulling process with pure spring water give the loden fabric exceptional suppleness and lightness.The design of the jacket is reminiscent of a classic safari jacket, making it both practical and stylish. The comfortable cut and the lightweight yet robust loden fabric ensure maximum wearing comfort. A back pleat provides additional freedom of movement, while the cord-lined collar can be closed high to protect the neck area. The jacket is fastened with a button placket, while four generous, patch flap pockets emphasise the distinctly masculine style and offer ample storage space. Refined details such as elbow patches made from corduroy by the British heritage mill Brisbane Moss and the optional belt complete the stylish appearance.The functional properties of classic loden fabric are still unrivalled today, despite all the technical innovations in synthetic fibres. Loden jackets made of pure wool are odour-inhibiting and temperature-regulating, have warming properties and offer a special wearing comfort that no synthetic fibre has been able to achieve so far.
