The Edwardian period - named after King Edward VII - refers to the time from the death of Queen Victoria to the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. It is referred to as a golden age of civic security or the »long Edwardian garden party«. The »Dandy« vest is inspired by this period. Calf-length coats, single-breasted tweed jackets and three-piece suits worn open to expose a vest were style-defining during this period.
Made of robust herringbone tweed, the striking »Dandy« vest proves to be an elegant all-rounder to stylish looks. Two flap pockets, a piped breast pocket, finely accentuated decorative seams and the 6-button placket successfully round off the design. The back is also made of tweed fabric and can be individually adjusted in width with a tonal goat suede belt. The vest is lined with a blue/white striped cotton lining. You can wear the tweed vest buttoned up à la »Edward« or classically with the lapels folded down and only two or three of the front waist buttons closed.
