The blade, with its rich contrast pattern, consists of a total of 63 layers, with AUS-10 steel* used for the cutting layer, which guarantees excellent sharpness and edge life due to its carbon content. The combination of vanadium, chromium and molybdenum also ensures corrosion- and wear-resistance. The subtly hammered structure in the upper part of the blade is not only a visual highlight, but also ensures that the material to be cut does not stick so easily to the blade. The perfect look of this Japanese knife is completed by a deep red octagonal handle made of rengas wood with an ebony ferrule. Double bevel, hardness 60 HRC.
