Founded in 2013 by Patrick James Robertson in collaboration with experienced winemaker Theunis Van Zyl from Imbuko Wines, The Fishwives Club proudly presents its award-winning wine portfolio featuring outstanding varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinotage Rosé, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The artfully designed bottle labels showcase fabulous illustrations of vintage pin-up girls in the charming style of the 50s, elegantly riding on colourful fish and taming these wondrous creatures of the deep. These illustrations lend the bottles an attractive originality that has garnered significant global acclaim, contributing to an impressive market success. The grapes for these wonderfully approachable and consistently high-quality wines are personally selected by the multiple award-winning winemaker and oenologist Theunis Van Zyl. He sources the grapes from both his own vineyard and exceptional terroirs in the renowned Cape wine region. Internationally recognised for his ability to showcase the best qualities of different grape varieties, Theunis Van Zyl employs the subtle use of French oak and American maple in his wines to bring out the unique characteristics of each varietal.
