The region around the Giant Mountains has a long-standing tradition of textile production dating back to 1545, when merchants from Nuremberg began exporting their products across Europe. Mileta, founded in 1949, takes its name from the ancient city of Miletos, famed for its excellent textile manufacturing and trade skills.The cotton twill fabric, made from fine full-twist yarns (100/2), is distinguished by its luxurious sheen and pleasant feel. Twill is one of the finest fabrics for blouses and shirts and is recognisable by its characteristic diagonal lines formed during weaving.The blouse impresses with numerous handcrafted details: The mother-of-pearl buttons are positioned close together to prevent the button placket from gaping. The nine stitches per centimetre instead of the usual seven, emphasise the high-quality workmanship of the blouse. Sleeves, collars and cuffs are sewn by hand after precise cutting. The mother-of-pearl buttons are sewn on according to Florentine tradition, with the sewing thread forming an intricate crow’s foot pattern over the holes - a sign of meticulous craftsmanship.The blouse is slightly tailored with darts in the front and back and stands out with wide topstitching on the collar, placket, and cuffs.
