The elegant fully twisted twill for this women's blouse comes from the renowned Mileta weaving mill and is made in the Czech Republic. The region around the German Riesengebirge has a long tradition of textile production dating back to 1545, when Nuremberg merchants began exporting their products to the whole of Europe. Mileta, founded in 1949, bears the name of the ancient city of Miletos, which was known for its excellent textile production and trading skills.The cotton twill fabric made from fine full-twist yarns (100/2) is characterised by its elegant sheen and pleasant feel. Twill is one of the highest quality fabrics for blouses and shirts and can be recognised by its characteristic diagonal lines that are created during weaving.The blouse impresses with numerous handcrafted details: The mother-of-pearl buttons are positioned close together to prevent the button placket from gaping open. With nine stitches per centimetre instead of the usual seven, the high quality workmanship of the blouse is emphasised. Sleeves, collars and cuffs are carefully cut and sewn by hand. The mother-of-pearl buttons are sewn on using the traditional Florentine method, with the sewing thread forming a buttercup pattern over the holes - a detail that emphasises the special craftsmanship of the blouse.The blouse is slightly fitted thanks to darts at the front and back and features wide topstitching on the collar, button placket and cuffs. The feminine, elegant cut and the practical combination cuff, which can be worn with or without cufflinks, make this blouse an indispensable part of a stylish wardrobe.Each blouse undergoes an elaborate production process of 40 steps, which guarantees outstanding quality and attention to detail.
